  11:39 1년 넘게 Flip 6 써본 사람으로서, 커버 화면에서 선택된 앱들을 멀티스타로 접근해본 사람으로서... 커버 화면에서 계속 스크롤하며 시간 낭비할 가능성은 낮아. 그리 편리하지 않거든. 그건 오히려 좋은 거야. 나 메시지 같은 거 커버 화면에서 닿을 수 있게 되는 게 좋아 (단지 써놓은 글이 잘려서 보이는 게 아쉽지만) 정말 좋아. 타이핑할 때 스와이프도 좋아. 내부 화면은 공간이 필요할 때 쓰는 화면이야. 유일한 단점은 글레어가 진짜 심해. 배터리는 충분하고 반응도 빨라.

  예전에 런던 삼성 플래그십 스토어에서 일한 경험상, 삼성은 7세대 또는 8세대 수준에 와야 진짜 좋아져. 5세대는 절대 사지 말고 (ㅋㅋ). 이게 처음으로 업그레이드를 고려할 정도로 충분히 인상 깊은 Fold 폰이야. 예전에 S21 Ultra에 계속 묶여있었어. 몇 년을 안 바꿨어. 나 지금 S21U, Nothing Phone (1), Google Pixel 6 Pro를 갖고 있어. Flip과 Fold 중에 뭘 할지 결정 중이야.

  One thing I know from my time working at a Flagship Samsung Store (London, U.K) years ago, is that Samsung start getting REAL GOOD when they get to Gen 7 and/or Gen 8. Never buy their 5th gen though, LOL. These are the first FOLD phones that I'm actually impressed enough to consider upgrading to , coz until recently I stuck with my S21 Ultra. Havent upgraded in YEARS. I have the aforementioned Samsung S21U, a Nothing Phone (1) and a Google Pixel 6 Pro. Need to decide between the FLIP or the FOLD.

  나 Fold 8 Wide가 좋아! 이미 예약했어. 이전 삼성 폰들로 실수 반복하지 않으려고. 나 예전에 1TB 모델 사곤 했는데, 그렇게까지 많이 쓰지도 않았고 그렇게 사면 훨씬 비싸잖아. 그런데 지금 삼성에 기기를 트레이드인할 때 256GB 모델이든 1TB에 다 돈을 쏟든 같은 금액을 줘. 더 비싼 모델을 트레이드인할 때 추가 금액을 안 주는 게 진짜 불공정해! 1TB도 256GB도 $1,200을 제시했어. 말이 안 돼. 그래서 이번이 마지막인데, 나 그렇게까지 많이 쓰지도 않을 텐데 $400, $500 추가로 더 낼 생각이 없어. 1TB 모델에 딸려오는 16GB RAM은 좋았는데, 그 엄청난 추가 비용을 들이고서 트레이드인할 때 일부도 못 받는 건 정말 아깝다고 생각해. 1TB와 4GB RAM을 진짜 필요하지 않는 이상 다른 사람들도 나처럼 할 걸 권장해.

  I like the Fold 8 wide! I've already pre-ordered mine. I'm not making the same mistake I did with previous Samsung phones. I use to get the 1 Tb models, but I didn't end up using near that amount and it costs way more that way. But also when you trade in a device now with Samsung, they give you the same amount whether you got the 256gb model or spent all the extra money on the 1 Tb version. It's really unfair that they don't add any extra amount when your trading in the more expensive model! They offered me $1,200 for the 1 Tb just like they do for the 256 gb version, it makes no sense. So this is the last year I'm shelling out $400 or $500 extra when I don't even use near that amount. I did like the 16 gb ram that comes with the 1 Tb models, but it's just not worth spending all that extra money and not even getting some of that back when you trade it in. I would suggest others to do the same unless you really need that 1 Tb and 4 extra gbs of ram.

  I like your video (pretty sure I've seen one or two before). And as much as it sucks we have to consider this now, it's nice to see what I'm pretty sure is a real human being actually talking about new devices with interesting perspectives & nice production. But regarding your note about how you actually preferred the friction in the old Flips (I just preordered my Flip 8 since my Flip 4 can actually get $300 credit after being less than $100 for a while)... it's certainly a hot take. I could maybe see your point about you having to decide to open up and risk doom scrolling, but my biggest pet peeve with my Flip 4 is that Gemini won't talk to me when it's closed! It just prints out a message saying, "Hi! Open phone to continue"... Uggh, no! Or trying to open some messages, same deal. I've been looking forward to upgrade for over a year and am happy I waited till this version came out. I think the assistant used to be more responsive since it was more just on-device before Gemini replaced it, but especially when I just want to turn on/off my smart lights or ask for help while I'm gaming, having to physically open this phone totally defeats the point of a hands-free experience.
