  이상한 얘기지만, 한국식 매너리즘을 쓰다 보니 자연스러워졌어? 나는 캄보디아계 미국인으로 대만에서 자라서 특정 소리들(동의의 소리, 혼란의 소리 등)이 저절로 나왔는데 미국에서 이러면 정신 이상한 사람처럼 들릴 것 같아 하하 (예를 들어 뭔가 못 들으면 '응?'이라고 크게 반응하고 그래 ㅋㅋ) 너도 '미국 집'과 '한국 집'이 있다는 걸 얘기했잖아, 그래서 특히 한국인 남편과 결혼한 이후로 한국의 어떤 부분들이 너의 자아 속에 통합되었는지 궁금해!

  So random, but do you find yourself using "Korean" mannerisms? I grew up in Taiwan as a Cambodian-American, and there's certain sounds (of agreement, of confusion, etc) that I picked up that i must sound like a maniac using in America haha! (eg. if I don't hear someone, I might go ENH really loud lolol) I know you've talked about there being "home America" and "home Korea" so I would love to hear about how you've integrated parts of Korea into your sense of self, especially since you're married to a Korean!

  필라델피아/남부 뉴저지/뉴저지 해변 지역의 재밌는 곳들 몇 가지: 필라델피아: Monster Vegan은 음식이 대박이고, 새로 생긴 스릴러/호러/범죄 서점(Thrilerdelphia)이 있는데 테마 데이를 하기에 좋을 것 같아! 뉴저지 해변: 내가 제일 좋아하는 곳은 Ocean City인데, 해안 남쪽에 있지만 진짜 귀엽고 여유로워. Ocean City Coffee가 대박이고, Bashful Banana는 음식이 좋아(아침/점심), Asbury Avenue에 귀여운 가게들 많아. Sun Rose Words and Music은 서점인데 규모는 작지만 정말 좋아 :) 해변 입장료는 내야 하는데, 다른 지역 해변들보다 덜 붐비는 것 같아 :) 남부 뉴저지: 시간이 남으면 교외에서 쉬고 싶으면 Haddonfield가 Septa/Patco 라인에서 몇 정거장 내려가면 있는데 커피가 좋아(Jersey Java), 음식도 좋고(Cafe Lift), 귀여운 가게들이랑 좋은 서점이 있어(Inkwood Books). 워킹하기 좋고 몇 시간 놀기 좋아 :) Collingswood(Patco에서 두 정거장)는 비슷한 게 많아 - Sabrina's Cafe가 필라델피아랑 Collingswood 둘 다 있으니 아침/브런치로 어디든 가볼 만해. 이 정보들이 도움되길 바라고 여행 정말 잘 다녀와! :)

  Some fun things in the Philly/ South Jersey/ Jersey shore area: Philly: Monster Vegan has amazing food and there's a new thriller/horror/ true crime bookstore (Thrilerdelphia) that would make for a fun theme day! Jersey Shore: My favorite town is Ocean City, which is on the southern side of the coast but its super cute and laid back. Ocean City Coffee is amazing, Bashful Banana has great food (breakfast/lunch), and they have a lot of cute stores on Asbury Avenue: Sun Rose Words and Music is the bookstore - it's on the smaller side but really sweet.:) They do have folks pay for a beach pass, but I do think it's less crowded than some of the other local beaches.:) South Jersey: If you get some down time and want to chill in the suburbs, Haddonfield is a few stops down on the Septa/Patco line in Jersey and has great coffee (Jersey Java), food (Cafe Lift), cute stores and a great bookstore (Inkwood Books). It's very walkable and fun to hang out in for a few hours. :) Collingswood (two stops aways on the Patco) has a lot of the same - Sabrina's Cafe has locations in Philly and Collingswood, either one is worth checking out for breakfast/brunch.   기차 광팬으로서 말하자면 캘리포니아 제피르는 내가 탄 장거리 기차 중 최고야. 너가 타는 구간 다음 구간(LA-샌프란시스코)도 언젠가 기회가 되면 정말 추천해. 지난번에 타웠을 때 펠리칸을 엄청 많이 봤고, 마운트 샤스타 일출은 진짜 최고고, 정말 흥미로운 사람들도 만났어. 너의 첫 아름다운 여름 장거리 암트랙 경험이 기대돼!

  Cari! As a train fanatic I can say that the California Zephyr is on of the best long distance rides i've ever been on. Highly recommend the leg after the one you're going on also (LA-SanFran) if you're ever up for it. My brother and I saw so many pelicans the last time we were on that train, the sunrise over mt. shasta is unbeatable, and we met some of the most fascinating people. Excited for you to have your first beautiful summer long Amtrack experience!

  In Turkey, we call those fish hamsi. They're anchovies, and we often put them in Turkish bread with onions and vegetables, then squeeze some fresh lemon juice on top. It's so, so good! 😋

  SF 추천!! Moraga Steps(16th ave 타일 계단)는 도시 풍경이 정말 멋진 타일 계단이야. Twin Peaks는 SF의 고전적인 풍경 볼 수 있는 곳. 9th and Lincoln in the Inner Sunset에는 Green Apple Books가 있고 Golden Gate Park의 멋진 박물관과 정원들까지 걸어갈 수 있어(Cal Academy, Japanese Tea Gardens, Blue Heron Lake, Botanical Gardens, Conservatory of Flowers가 내 최애). 키치한 재미를 찾고 있으면 Pier 39는 고전이야 관광지지만. 너무 뻔한 가게들이 많고 졸고 있는 바다사자들이 있어 ㅋㅋ Japantown은 귀엽고 음식도 많고, Kinokuniya 서점도 있어. Sutro Baths랑 Lands End는 경치 좋은 산책로야. Mission의 Dolores Park는 피크닉하기 좋고, 바로 근처에 Bi-Rite가 있어서 아이스크림 먹을 수 있어. 붐비긴 하지만 경치와 분위기 때문에 그럴 만해. MOMA는 5~6층이 넘을 정도로 정말 거대해! 미술관이야 좋은 게 너무 많아서 다 추천하기 힘들고 뭔가 많이 빠뜨린 것 같긴 해.

  SF recs!! Moraga Steps (16th ave tiled steps), gorgeous tiled stairs that lead to a gorgeous view of the city. Twin Peaks for the classic SF views though. 9th and Lincoln in the Inner Sunset has Green Apple Books and is within walking distance of awesome museums and gardens in Golden Gate Park (Cal Academy, Japanese Tea Gardens, Blue Heron Lake, Botanical Gardens, and Conservatory of Flowers are faves). If you're down for some kitch fun and open to a more touristy area, Pier 39 is a classic. Very cheesy stores and dozing sea lions! Japantown is cute and has lots of food, and a Kinokuniya book store. The Sutro Baths and Lands End for a gorgeous walk. Dolores Park in the Mission for picnics, and Bi-Rite close by for ice cream. It's crowded but worth it for views and vibes. MOMA for SEVERAL floors of art, I think 5 or 6 floors? It's massive. Chinatown is gorgeous and really fun for aimless wandering and eating along the way. It's really hard to pick favorites and I'm sure I'm forgetting so much.

  What are your go to sunscreens? Asking for myself, as i live at the Mediterranean but I have a skin of a northern person. I saw dr ceruacle mist in your recs, I used their sunscreen and it was insane, but it is no more in Spain, but we have a lot of other Korean brands at the market. Also what an amazing vlog. And yes, let’s survive the heaaaat ugh. We are not humid here though.

  Your life feels so peaceful mid 2000-2010s, the blue jeans w the sandals & the butterfly earrings, the Kindle and the Canon camera. It makes me so nostalgic for this time period. I'm not even that old but it feels like the world is moving faster than I can keep up somehow?! Everyone is ordering their groceries online to save time, and it's nice to see someone go to the store and pick out their stuff. Idk how I'm romanticizing groceries, but I'm doing it.
